Food, Fireworks, Music on the Allegheny River and Kinzua Lake

The forecast for the fireworks at Betts Park in Warren's South End for Saturday, July 4th is a slight chance of showers, mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. West wind between 7 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%, according to the National Weather Service as of July 2. Try to arrive at least an hour early to ensure a place to park. If you can, try to walk to the park which is on Laurel Street off of Pennsylvania Avenue East.

The fireworks are sponsored, once again by the Kwik Fill gas station company. The 4th of July weekend with festivities starting on Friday, July 3, are sponsored by the Warren Jaycees. This year is the 61st annual celebration. The following is a summary of the weekend's schedule:
Barbecue Pig Roast: starts 12 noon on Friday at Betts Park
Tug of War-ren: 3 p.m. Friday at Betts park
MATT MALOOF and the Contra Band with special guest SEASON 4 AMERICAN IDOL FINALIST LINDSEY CARDINELE: 5 p.m. Friday at Betts Park
Black Widow from Buffalo plays at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Betts Park
Boogie Woogie outdoors on the Allegheny River to the music of Francie Zucco who returns to Music In The Park (at Hickory Street Bridge on Pennsylvania Avenue downtown) at 8 p.m. Friday
62nd Annual Fourth of July PARADE: 11 a.m., Saturday, July 4th, Pennsylvania Avenue east to west, through downtown Warren
Water Battle by Firefighters, 3 p.m., Saturday, at Betts Park
FIREWORKS, 10 P.M., Saturday, July 4th, Betts Park

At Kinzua Lake: Fireworks 10 p.m. Friday, July 3 at Kinzua Marina, Boat and RV Show with live music by Ron Carrington on Saturday, July 4. Docksiders Cafe open 11 to 11 seven days a week.
