A correspondent from the local Obama for President Campaign in Warren writes:
The Obama/Biden Headquarters for Warren County will open Thursday, August 28, 2008 where we will host a Watch Party from 7PM -10PM to watch Barack accept the nomination. The office is located once again at 117 Market Street, in Warren Pennsylvania. The office will also host local Democratic officials.
Frank Poppe, a field organizer from the national campaign has come on board to help lead our efforts throughout the remaining weeks. Frank is originally from Long Island, attends American University in D.C. , and is currently taking a semester to work for the Obama campaign.
A phone banking drive is scheduled for Friday, August 29th and Saturday, August 30th from noon to nine with a concentrated push from 4PM to 9PM. Please consider volunteering this weekend as we kick things off.
A brief meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26th at 7PM. We will keep the agenda brief to provide everyone an opportunity to watch Hillary Clinton speak at the convention.
We need volunteers to staff upcoming voter registration efforts and to staff the office as soon as next week. We would like to have the office open from nine to nine daily. Please us the contact number below if you can't attend Tuesday's meeting but would like to volunteer to staff the office starting next week. Shifts will run nine--noon, noon--three, three to six, and six to nine.
